Growing up on the south side of Chicago in project housing, Michael's love for food began at a young age. He truly became the 'neighborhood chef.'

After seeing a vendor deny a homeless man food after a Taste of Chicago event, Michael made a commitment to feed the homeless so they can access meals. Ten years later, Taste for the Homeless has captured the attention of millions, including Barack and Michelle Obama.

Take a look to see Michael's story, his goals for his organization, and ending food hunger amongst the homeless.
